They say that planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things you can do. Add to this; designing and building themed elements, transporting and dressing the room the day before the wedding, running our own bar and then clearing the venue the day after. Hard work – but so worth it!
For our wedding reception downstairs room, we wanted a deco lounge and bar area.
I have included the before and after photo’s. They show how bare the room was before we added all our elements. Luckily my husband is a Cabinet Maker and so this was truly a transformation on a grand scale. The project took almost a year, as we could only spend spare time in the workshop.
Themed Elements Made:
Bar and Back Bar with a burnished finish
Bar tables to match
Fireplace surround – Marble paint effect
Booth Seating
Deco style screens
Fake wall
Raised seating area
Deco themed artwork and menu’s.
