Maybe I should have known as a child, but discovered that the crazy love child of the spoon and fork is brilliantly called a Spork. It is also is an incredibly satisfying word to say. Alternatively it can be called a Foon, but this sounds more like the ending to an insult and no where near as much fun to say. 
I wonder if the mighty spoon bender Uri Geller has a preference?

Have also discovered the Spife, which I use for eating Kiwi fruit like and egg.
